Free Activities, Who is eligible?
Read this page carefully: You may be eligible for free activities!
Here is a detailed list of groups eligible for free activities at the Museum:
Single-parent and low-income families who are seeking to gain control of their personal, family and community lives;
Young drop-outs, homeless youth and young people suffering from substance abuse who are seeking rehabilitation;
Information centres, meeting places and shelters for women seeking refuge or hoping to break out of their isolation;
The homeless and persons from impoverished neighbourhoods who are trying to improve their circumstances and engage more actively in the community;
Seniors who are isolated and economically disadvantaged and seeking more active involvement in the community;
Persons who are financially and socially disadvantaged and have mental or physical disabilities;
Persons who are financially and socially disadvantaged and are involved in literacy programmes;
Refugees and recent immigrants on limited incomes who wish to expand their contacts with the Montreal community;
Cultural communities from disadvantaged neighbourhoods seeking to end their isolation and expand their contacts with the Montreal community.
Community groups and organizations who work with these disadvantaged groups must be among the following:
A government agency or provider of a service to the groups outlined above;
A charitable organization;
A non-profit organization;
An organization supported by Centraide.
Note: The Museum reserves the right to limit the number of free Beyond-the-Walls activities per group or organization.
