The modern Jean-Noël Desmarais PavilionThe Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion, designed by architect Moshe Safdie, is connected to the Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion by a network of underground exhibition galleries. When it opened in 1991, the new pavilion doubled the amount of exhibition space at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Its wide open spaces, with huge windows that flood the indoor spaces with light, create a modern and airy ambience. This pavilion is named in honour of the Desmarais family, longstanding Museum patrons who made a major contribution to the construction of this new wing. Three rooms are available for special events.

Michal and Renata Hornstein PavilionThe Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion was built by architects Edward and W. S. Maxwell in 1912, in the Beaux-Arts style. It is named for two generous Museum benefactors. Three rooms are available for your special events. | |
